PALESTINIAN YOUTH MOVEMENT is a transnational, independent, grassroots movement of young Palestinians dedicated to the liberation of their homeland and people.

In 2018, the organization asked me to make a bilingual typography design that they could use on tshirts and other applications.
I completed this design in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator using hand-drawn letterforms and scanned textures. I chose a reverse-contrast typeface to visually cohere with the form of the keys, which have more weight on the top and bottom of their ellipses than on the sides of them. The motif of the keys symbolizes the Palestinian right to return to their homelands and references the actual keys that many Palestinian families still have to the homes that Zionists expelled them from.
